Operations - AirCare Communications Center

Another vital function of the Mississippi MED-COM center is the central communications center for UMHC's AirCare-1 and AirCare-2. Mississippi MED-COM center not only handles the call taking for both interfacility transfers and scene flights for AirCare, but maintains contact with the aircraft while they are in the air. Mississippi MED-COM center also coordinates all helicopter traffic into and out of one of the busiest medical heliports in the Southeastern United States.

To request AirCare for a scene or interfacility flight, call 888-UMC-2345

Visiting aircraft are asked to contact MED-COM as early as possible. See visiting aircraft information sheet.
