Mississippi MED-COM is designed to function as a service to the emergency response agencies, hospitals and first responders of Mississippi. This state-of-the-art communications center is located on the campus of the University of Mississippi Medical Center and serves many functions, some of which are listed below. MED-COM is staffed twenty four hours a day, seven days a week with experienced paramedics and emergency medical technicians ready to serve the needs of the emergency responders and healthcare providers statewide during routine operations and in support of disasters or mass casualty incidents.
